A resident of The Dalles, born October 16, 1948 in Bend, Oregon. Passed away June 11, 1966 at Cannon Beach, Oregon at age 17. A member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survived by his parents, Ray and Celia Doty of The Dalles, 2 brothers; Sam of Eugene and Phil of The Dalles, 1 sister; Mary Swaim of Newburg, OR., 1 step-brother; Curtis Doty of The Dalles, 2 step-sisters; Denise Doty of The Dalles and Sherry Van Osdel of The Dalles. Graveside services will be held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tuesday at 11 am. Rev. Paul Sweeny will officiate.
** Deceased Classmate, Sherry Doty was Tom Swaim's step-sister, who passed away in 2010.

Tom was our first classmate to leave us and brought to our attention that we were not invulnerable. I ran cross country with Tom. He was a man of integreity, honesty, a good runner, and one heck of a good person. I have missed him a lot over the years and always remember him when I go to the beach. Rest well my friend and someday I hope to see you again.
