Randall Lawrence Malcolm

Randall Lawrence Malcolm, 49, a resident of The Dalles, died at his home Friday, December 5, 1997.  He was born April 18, 1948 in The Dalles, the second of four children to Robert Lawrence and June LaVelle (Brown) Malcolm.  He attended Colonel Wright Grade School and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1966.  He attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton before serving in the US Army in Vietnam.  Following his military duty, he returned to The Dalles to work in the grocery business.  He married Sharon Leonard on April 8, 1972 in The Dalles.  They later divorced and he married Sally Jane Alsup on October 8, 1994 in The Dalles.  He operated his own store in Murdock from 1985 to 1990 and currently was in produce management at The Dalles Safeway.  He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge.  He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and tending his livestock.  He is survived by his wife Sally Malcolm, his children; Tina Malcolm, Dallesport, WA, Tonia Malcolm, Las Vegas, NV, Justin Linnel, The Dalles and Chelse Weber of White Salmon, WA; grandchildren Joshua and Hunter Malcolm; brothers, Steven and Monty Malcolm, and sister Debbie Harth, all of The Dalles, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 11 am on Saturday, December 13th with Rev. Tim Foster officiating.  Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangementts.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, PO Box 36, Hood River, OR 97031 or the Columbia Gorge Community College Scholarship Fund, 400 E.
